1. CERN-MOP link :

The 64 Kb/s line has been fully operational since February 2, 1989. The 9.6 Kb/s line is now available for NT/X.25 testing.

3. Decentralised maintenance :

LISTSERV : this is a hot topic ! I had several lengthy discussions with E. Thomas ; here is a short summary :
E.T. sent 2 surveys on LISTSERV (one for all users, one for NOG members and LISTSERV contacts).

In addition, through mail exchange and phone conversations, I understand that he could envisage to have LISTSERV maintained and distributed by EARN to EARN sites. This is one among several scenarios he is considering, and I expect to have more information before the next EXEC meeting.

4. Statistics :

The end-to-end statistics have now been gathered in most countries. However, a few countries are not sending the appropriate data (Iceland, Ireland, Ivory Coast, Spain and Switzerland). In addition, the French data are kept in a format non compatible with the consolidation program (a translation program is being developed).

However, due to the redundancy, we have all data needed to have an accurate view of the EARN end-to-end traffic.

These data, complete for every month starting in November 1988 will be shortly available (the date is not yet known but will be in any case well before next BoD meeting).

Today, we have preliminary results, which are still difficult to interpret, because of a lack in completeness).
